Overview

The Department of Chemistry was established at St. Pius X College in the year 1995 as the complimentary subject of B. Sc Microbiology. Department has well established laboratory. Dr. Abraham Joseph was the former HOD of the department and he served the college up to 2005. Dr. Asha Chacko has been appointed as Head and Assistant Professor w.e.f. 22.11.2005.

Aims & objectives

• To inculcate the knowledge in chemistry.
• To generate the scientific aptitude /attitude in the students.
• To improve the laboratory skills among the students.
