The college is named in the loving memory of its Patron, Pope St. Pius X who made the Knanaya community as a separate Diocese of Kottayam in the year 1911. This college was a realization of a long cherished dream of the great visionary, learned scholar, philosopher, teacher and orator, Rt. Rev.
