ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CLUB

The Entrepreneurship Development Club (ED Club) of our college is formed with the objective of sowing the seed of entrepreneurship culture in the minds of the students and motivating and encouraging the students to take up entrepreneurial ventures. The club has been organizing various programmes during these years since their inception with this end in view. During the year the ED club members consisted of 25 members with Dr SijiCyriac Assistant Professor Department of Business Administration The club organized a mega Student market programme. Various departments set up different stalls exhibiting various products such as home grown vegetables fruits and home made snacks. The parents teachers non teaching staff and students participated in the program actively. The students earned a gross amount of Rs. 35 000 as sales revenue. The programme was officially inaugurated by Rev Fr Joseph Puthenpurackal OFM a renowned speaker and spiritual guide in the presence of Rev Fr George Puthuparambil the local manager Rev Fr Dino Kummanikkattu the bursar of the college and Sr Mary kutty Alex the Principal of the College. The event was aimed at training the students with basic skills of sales and encourage them to become job creators instead of job seekers. The club also plans to bring all the alumni entrepreneurs of our college to interact with the students and motivate them to take entrepreneurial activities. The ED club along with the cooperation of BBA department established in our college a new venture known as Business Incubation Centre (BIC). The purpose of this venture is to provide infrastructural and consultation facilities at the BIC for both students and people of the locality for venturing into entrepreneurship. The DIC has offered all governmental support for this venture. It is a platform offered by the club BBA department and DIC Kasaragod for encouraging entrepreneurship in this area.
